Overall nice hotel if they can work the kinks out.River Spirit Casino Resort is so much more than your average hotel casino. Expanded town shuttle service would be great too since hotel is so isolated. They then told our taxi the wrong entrance which made us miss it altogether. When I did get someone to help at guest services staff acted like it was an inconvenience to help us. Another suggestion would be to give valets a phone as they cannot call a taxi for guests and often there was no one at guest services. Paradise cove staff and Melissa and Dawn at Margaritaville were great at making us feel welcome. A rule about how long you can hold a seat and evening swim options post heat of day would be nice. If you want a drink at the pool you need a room key and ID as opposed to having your pool bracelet act as this -meaning you need a place to keep these things dry. Everyday we had to use a palm tree planter to hide our belongings. I would suggest at the very least installing some hooks or cabinet area so people who can’t get a seat can store their stuff while they swim. Pool area was a nightmare with so many outside non guests being allowed to use the pool that there was never any seating for the length of our stay.

We went to the Mac McNally concert with a very nice theatre experience. Otherwise casino was nice, bright and clean. She was friendly, got us a refund and got us into our beautiful room right away. Shannon at the front desk made the situation so much better. Having been up all night I was not willing to wait another two hours for a shuttle so we took a costly $60 taxi to the hotel. Told it would now be 2pm before they could get us. Nothing passed us, no one ever stopped to call our names or my phone and yet when I called at 1220pm they said they had been there and left and tried to call but cell wasn’t going through. I was told a black suv would pick me up with a sign that had their hotel name. I clarified where I would stand by this sign. I called the hotel and they told me it was actually going to be at noon.

We stood outside by a giant purple shuttle pick up sign and no one came. However we booked a shuttle from the airport for 11:05 am. I kept in contact with Ashley on the phone and she was great and even removed that night from our bill though it was quite late when we had to cancel. Before arriving our plane had been delayed and we lost one night. I wish I could give it a great review as hotel rooms are great and we experienced some amazing service but there are just so many missing details and communication issues this is why the three star review.
